My Best Friend

If you didn't know him, you might think he never said a word before in his life. As a passerby you may not even see him or think of him as your age. But if you spend the time to get to know him, well... he might seem kind and peaceful (which he is most of the time) but he also can be very violent and could kick your butt in a heartbeat ( even if you were a lot bigger than him)

He is quiet. Very quiet. He is definitely an introvert but he is one of the most intelligent people I know. He is one of the most unique and somewhat crazy people that you may know. Over everything else, he wouldn't hurt a fly and is a very generous, chivalrous, and kind person, but could beat you up, down, and all around just as fast. To Back this point, consider this. Every time he has come over to my house, he has brought one of his many knives, just because. I mean... HE OWNS A REAL SWORD! Anyways, I could trust him with anything. I would very willingly put my life in his hands. His name is Stuart Doty.

Treasure Island: Imagery

ok... First and foremost, blogspot will not let me indent. But, I will do without. I believe that the author uses imagery in Treasure Island because without imagery, this book would just be any other pirate tale. The imagery used in this story really enriches the way that you percieve the island, and all of the characters. The imagery also shows much more description and brings you much closer to the characters, and in the same way, when the characters are in peril, makes you really get on the edge of your seat, because you feel so close to those characters, due to the imagery.
